Professor Liwei Xie welcomes applications from undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, as well as postdoctoral researchers, research assistant professors, visiting scholars and research interns interested in gut microbiome–host interactions, metabolic disease, skeletal-muscle and adipose stem-cell biology, trace-mineral metabolism, bioinformatics, multi-omics and translational synthetic biology.

Current recruitment information
Postdoctoral Researchers
Postdoctoral candidates with a Ph.D. or expected Ph.D. in microbiology, molecular biology, metabolism, bioinformatics, synthetic biology or a related field are encouraged to contact Professor Xie. Relevant experience in microbiome research, multi-omics, animal or cell physiology, computational biology or translational research is welcome.
Research Assistant Professor
Applicants with a doctoral degree, strong research record and the ability to develop an independent research direction may enquire about research assistant professor opportunities in the Faculty of Synthetic Biology and XieLab. The specific appointment and eligibility will be confirmed by Professor Xie.
